A First Day Cover was issued on January 4 2006 with a special cachet and a postmark. Covers were made in white and gray. The special cachet shows Tropical Fruit from a vintage print on wood. The text has a short history of the pineapple in Hawai'i.

The special postmark for the above cover was issued for January 4 2006 only. The upper inner circle reads "*JANUARY 4 2006*". The lower inner circle reads "HAWAI'I POST, WAIKIKI, O'AHU". A pineapple is in the center. Black ink was used.

A First Day Cover was issued on January 29 2006 with a special cachet and a postmark. Covers were made in white and gray. The special cachet shows a dog wagging his tail. The text reads "Happy New Year" with "Year of the Dog" in English and Chinese.

The special postmark for the above cover was issued for January 29 2006 only. The upper inner circle reads "*CHINATOWN, HONOLULU, O'AHU*". The lower inner circle reads "HAWAI'I POST". The lower middle inner circle reads "JANUARY 29 2006". A dog's head is in the center. Black ink was used.

The lower middle right inner circle reads "MARCH 11 2006". A Happy Face Spider is in the center, its front legs extending beyond the postmark circle. Black ink was used.

A First Day Cover was issued on October 15 2006 with a special cachet and a postmark. Covers were made in white and gray. The special cachet shows a map of the Big Island and across it "EARTH QUAKE" in large broken asymmetrical letters. The text pertains to the earthquake of October 15th 2006.


The special postmark for the covers was issued for October 15 2006 only. The upper inner circle reads "*7:08am OCTOBER 15 2006*". The lower inner circle reads "HAWAI'I POST, HAWAI'I". The center reads "EARTH QUAKE" in asymmetrical letters. There is a jagged diagonal crack across the postmark. Black ink was used.
